J. Jason Hill

Jason Hill is an associate attorney of Lavi & Ebrahimian, LLP.

Jason Hill has broad experience in handling both Plaintiff and Defense complex litigation at every stage. He recently departed the law firm of Cohelan Khoury & Singer (CKS), a  San Diego-based class action law firm, to join the esteemed Lavi & Ebrahimian law firm in Los Angeles. Prior to handling class action matters, Hill was a key component in a well-established general civil defense firm, Harrington Dubrow & Canter (HFDC), based in Los Angeles, CA, progressing from a law clerk to senior associate.  He is a graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with majors in Philosophy of Law, Political History/Economics, and Corporate Communications Management. He obtained his J.D. Degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego, CA, where he was a member of Law Review/International Law Journal and Editor for the Telecommunications Law Forum.

Hill is licensed by both the California and Illinois Bar and is a licensed real estate broker in California. Hill’s practice areas include a broad range of civil litigation, roughly split between Plaintiff and Defense practice in GCI coverage, employment, wage and hour, class actions, healthcare, civil rights, general civil liability, product labeling and liability, consumer litigation, complex and federal multi-district litigation in privacy/data breach, unfair competition, antitrust, banking, and real estate transactions. He also had nearly three years of experience as both a legal intern for the FCC Office of General Counsel and the EEOC in Washington, D.C., as an investigator for employment discrimination/wrongful termination claims for the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Border Patrol. As a result, Hill obtained both a national security clearance from the Office of Personnel Management and substantial experience in the regulatory rule-making process and the Administrative Procedures Act (APA).

Mr. Hill has taken or defended hundreds of depositions of witnesses, experts, and PMK’s, is one of the few class action practitioners to go to trial in a certified class case. Hill is also an accomplished appellate practitioner and briefed and/or argued 0ver 40 matters in both state and federal courts of appeal, yielding several published decisions on a wide range of significant legal issues.  Hill has presented over 55 class settlements for preliminary and final approval, yielding millions of dollars in recovery for consumers, employees.
