Blanca Retamozo Pelico

Associate Attorney

Blanca Retamozo Pelico is a litigation associate attorney at Lavi & Ebrahimian, LLP with practice areas covering plaintiff’s side individual and class action labor and employment cases, specializing in wage and hour claims, misclassification claims, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and whistle-blower cases.

Blanca graduated summa cum laude from Woodbury University, Burbank in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Politics and History while working as a legal assistant for a class action law firm in the litigation of wage and hour, sexual harassment, and tort claims. While at Woodbury she finalized her thesis entitled Civil Liberties in the Name of National Security and held positions in various organizations. In 2012, Blanca was recognized by the California Legislature Assembly for her leadership and dedication to the Local District 1 English Learner Advisory Committee of the San Fernando Valley.

In 2020, amidst the unprecedented global pandemic, Blanca earned her Law Degree with a concentration in Criminal Law and Advocacy from Southwestern Law School, Los Angeles. Blanca was also a member of Southwestern Law School’s nationally award-winning Trial Advocacy Honors Program (TAHP), served on the program’s Board of Governors as Alumni Relations Chair, and directly trained under experienced and successful trial lawyers from the Los Angeles area. In law school, she was also an active member of various organizations including Criminal Law Society, Labor and Employment Law Association, Latino Law Students Association, Student Bar Association, and she mentored incoming law school students through Southwestern’s Peer Mentor Program.

Prior to joining Lavi & Ebrahimian, LLP, Blanca interned with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office in the Hardcore Gangs Division where she directly assisted Deputy District Attorneys in the prosecution of high-level criminal and death penalty cases. She was also a law clerk for a private firm and subsequently successfully litigated individual plaintiff’s side employment harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, personal injury, and wrongful death cases.

In her down time, Blanca dedicates her time and energy to her three teen-aged sons Damian, Ethan, and Joshua and her two dogs.  She also avidly enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling to foreign countries.
